Philanthropy

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has been Phi Mu’s national philanthropic partner since 1986. “To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” The first line of Phi Mu’s Creed has been a call to serve others since it was written more than 100 years ago. From our earliest days of supporting a health mobile that delivered health care to women and children in rural areas to supporting toy carts for children in hospitals to our current partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Phi Mu has long been committed to lending a helping hand to those in need.

We are proud to be the only sorority to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and have an alliance with the National Women’s History Museum. We were also the first sorority to establish a National Philanthropy Day more than 20 years ago. Lending a helping hand is at the heart of who we are as Phi Mus.

Delta Tau's Philanthropy

Phi Mu Delta Tau is deeply committed to philanthropy, dedicating time and energy to making a meaningful impact through a variety of charitable events. One of the chapter’s signature events is Mu Madness, an exciting basketball tournament that rallies the campus and community together in the spirit of friendly competition, all while raising funds for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). Another favorite is the Mu BBQ, where delicious food, fun activities, and a sense of togetherness take center stage to support this important cause. In addition to these larger events, Phi Mu regularly engages in tabling efforts across campus, spreading awareness about CMNH and collecting donations. Whether it’s setting up interactive games, selling snacks, or simply educating passersby about the importance of their cause, these tabling events play a crucial role in the chapter's fundraising and outreach efforts. Through these activities, Phi Mu continues to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and families, all while strengthening bonds within their sisterhood and the WKU community.
